Today the Chancellor announced that this Labour Government is returning the interest reserve to the BCSSS Mineworkers pension scheme.
This is great news for retired miners and their families who have faced injustice in their pension schemes for too long.
This change will mean over 650 ex mineworkers across Castleford, Pontefract & Knottingley will get an average £100 increase per week into their pension.
Only Labour recognise the debt we owe to those who helped build and power our economy for generations.
